How The Lonely keep and the Lovely fall.

Our generation today, bought by television, music, movies and books; have this vision in their headsof, what they are supposed to have, look like and to become.  Moreso none of it is relevant nor is it realistic of what life actually is.  I can say without a doubt, this is a selfish generation, but not only does it effect kids and teenagers, but most adults as well.  Working is now a punishment, having money is an accomplishment, and finding your group of people is what will make you happy, let alone will get you by to survive.  Contrary to popular belief, the american dream does not exist, nor will it ever.
"The American Dream, sometimes in the phrase "Chasing the American Dream," is a national ethos of the United States in which freedom includes a promise of the possibility of prosperity and success." (Taken from Wikipedia)

Already in what that sentence states is a Promise that you if you believe in, will bring you prosperity and success on all levels of life.
But we all know a promise can be broken, as well as a possiblity or potential that in life you will have money and be a successful what ever you choose to do.  But both those things are not a guarrantee that you will succeed in doing so.  In fact, if the american dream were possible, than why are so few people doing it?  Are they failing in some way?  Do they lack what it needs to make this dream possible?  In fact, so many people do have the go, and the needs to make these things happen.  They all have potential to do and make this "American Dream" a reality.  But sadly if something does not exist then it is not relevant, you can not make this thing a reality.  For some yes, the succeed, they do something and make something out of themselves. For others, no they cannot nor will not have a go at things and make something of themselves.  Or what life throws at them takes them aback from making this dream real.

If theres a 50/50 shot at making something of myself, then why havent I been set up to do so already?
If there was any chance at some point in my life to even have a slight chance at the American Dream, wouldnt I have taken it?  Never will I understand why the blind lead the blind, nor will I understand why believing in nothing seems to be popular.  Cause believing in nothing is a pretty scary thing, it also ends up taking the focus on something, mostly others away from them(not that the focus should be on others. But the focus on ones self is a lonely one), and takes the look on something anything, and puts a disgusting focus on myself.

If this American Dream, wasnt such a scam, maybe I'd go for it.
But as goes for me, I dream of better things than money and success.
Let alone.
I don't believe in nothing.

The American Dream is nothing.
